Socialens Instagram brand & hashtag research

Terms of Service

Effective date: August 20, 2026

Who these terms are with

Socialens is operated by PT Agatis Investama Abadi, Indonesia. By creating a workspace or using Socialens you agree to these terms. If you are using Socialens for a company, you confirm you are allowed to accept these terms on its behalf.

What Socialens does

Socialens is a research tool. You connect your own Instagram Business or Creator account, and Socialens uses that connection to read public information about other public professional accounts and public hashtag activity through Meta's Instagram Graph API, plus the Insights that Instagram reports to you about your own posts.

It is worth being clear about what that means. For accounts you do not own, Socialens can only ever show what the API makes public: profile statistics, recent posts, and a clearly labeled estimated engagement rate computed as (likes + comments) / followers. Reach, impressions and saves are private to each account owner, and no tool can show them to you for someone else's account. Socialens does not post, comment, message, follow, or take any action on your behalf. It reads.

What you need before subscribing

Socialens can only connect to an Instagram Business or Creator account that is linked to a Facebook Page you can manage. Personal Instagram accounts cannot connect. None of these can be granted or worked around by us, so please check them before paying: see what you need to connect.

Subscriptions, trials and payment

Payments are handled by Lemon Squeezy, which is the merchant of record for your purchase. Their terms cover the transaction itself, including tax, invoicing and refunds. We never see or store your card details.

If your subscription ends

When a subscription lapses, research access is paused: you will not be able to sign in, and open sessions are returned to a renewal page. Your data is kept, not deleted. Renewing restores the same workspace with its tracked accounts and its follower history intact.

We do not delete a lapsed workspace ourselves. It stays until you delete it, however long that takes. If we ever change that, we will say so here and email the address on the account before anything is removed.

One practical note. Instagram access tokens expire about 60 days after they were last refreshed, and while a subscription is paused nothing refreshes yours. If you come back after longer than that, your data is all still there, but you will be asked to reconnect your Instagram account. That is one click, because Facebook remembers that you authorised Socialens before.

Deleting your workspace

You can delete your workspace yourself from the dashboard at any time. It removes your token, tracked accounts, cached research and follower history, and it cannot be undone.

Deleting your workspace does not cancel your subscription. Billing is handled by Lemon Squeezy and has to be cancelled there, using the billing link in your purchase email. Please cancel first, then delete, or you may keep being charged for a workspace that no longer exists.

See data deletion for the full details.

Your Instagram connection

Connecting your account gives Socialens an access token issued by Meta, which we store encrypted and use only to make the requests described in our privacy policy. You can revoke it at any time from your Facebook settings, or by removing the connection in Socialens. Revoking it stops the research features from working, which is expected.

Fair use

Please do not:

We may suspend a workspace that does one of these, and will tell you why.

What we cannot promise

Socialens is built on Meta's Instagram Graph API, and much of what it can show depends on that API rather than on us. Meta can change, restrict or withdraw an endpoint, a permission or a metric at any time, and accounts you track can be made private, renamed or closed. Historical data that Instagram never exposed cannot be recovered later by anyone.

So Socialens is provided as it is, without a guarantee that it will be uninterrupted, error free, or that any particular data will remain available. We work to keep it running and to tell you plainly when something is unavailable rather than showing you a number we cannot stand behind.

To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim relating to Socialens is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. We are not liable for lost profits or for business decisions made from the research the tool provides. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Changes to these terms

If we change these terms we will update the effective date at the top of this page, and for changes that materially affect you we will email the address on your account. Continuing to use Socialens after a change means you accept the updated terms.

Governing law and contact

These terms are governed by the laws of Indonesia. Questions, complaints and cancellation help all go to support@agatisgroup.com.
